Display specialist AOC has announced five new monitors of its Pro-line; the new 90 series. These monitors ranging from 24-27" sizes and equipped with the advanced IPS panels with wide colour gamut are aimed at businesses and demanding prosumers. Users will appreciate their 3-sided frameless design for seamless multiple monitor set-ups. AOC’s eye-protecting features reduce discomfort for users working long hours, and the monitors’ high energy-efficiency helps to reduce costs and users’ carbon footprint.

Three of the new models are also equipped with an ergonomic and easily mountable stand. The five new additions to the AOC business monitor portfolio come in two sizes: the 24" I2490VXQ and I2490PXQU, and the 27" I2790VQ, I2790PQU and Q2790PQU. Boasting a 3-sided frameless design, these monitors bring freshness to users’ desktops with their gunmetal finish on the stand and lower bezel.

Thanks to the almost invisible bezels on the sides, they are a suitable fit for seamless multi-monitor setups. Two or even more of these displays side-by-side offer a considerable boost in desktop space, which in turn can help increase productivity. The more affordable I2490VXQ and I2790VQ come equipped with a basic stand, whereas the I2490PXQU, I2790PQU and the Q2790PQU are fitted with an ergonomically adjustable stand, which can be easily detached without a screwdriver. A range of options including 130mm height adjustment, -5°/+25° tilt, 165°/+165° swivel and 90° rotation (pivot) ensure a high level of working comfort suited to each user’s individual needs.

All 90 series models use advanced IPS panels for wide viewing angles and high colour accuracy. With a colour space coverage of 100% sRGB and 90% NTSC, these monitors offer accurate colours at any viewing angle (up to 178°). The flagship model Q2790PQU comes with a QHD panel (2560x1440 pixels), which can show four 720p video streams at once. The other four models are equipped with Full HD panels (1920x1080 pixels).

Various input options including DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA make it possible to connect various image sources to enjoy different types of visual content on the high quality panel. Built-in speakers also provide sound without external speaker boxes and cables, reducing clutter on the desk. Also, the PQU/PXQU models boast a USB 3.0 hub for connecting peripheral devices quickly and easily instead of crouching under the desk to reach the PC itself.

For office or home users spending long hours in front of a monitor, the 90 series feature the Low Blue Light mode, which reduces harmful short wavelength blue light. In addition, the Flicker-Free feature regulates the monitor’s brightness with a direct current (DC) system instead of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), reducing eye-fatigue and discomfort.

The environmental friendliness of the new monitors is also proven with several energy efficiency certificates, such as Energy Star, EPEAT and TCO. Moreover, the E-saver software feature lets the display switch to a low power profile when the user is away, whereas Eco mode adapts the screen settings to different types of content (text, internet, game, movie, sport) to minimise energy consumption. Other convenient software-based features include AOC Screen+ for splitting desktops easily into different panes, and i-Menu, which allows access to OSD settings with the mouse.
