Arrow has announced the availability of two new high quality LCD modules that will reduce power and design-in time in industrial and professional applications. The Everbouquet MF240320B24-BFW is a 2.4-inch transmissive TFT LCD unit offering the power saving advantages of 240mW white LED backlight, while the Everbouquet MC20E2D is a two-row dot matrix display designed for low power operation from a nominal 5V supply.
The MF240320B24-BFW 2.4-inch LCD features 262k colours, 240 pixels x 320 pixels QVGA resolution and a large viewing area. Sleep and standby modes are also provided to maximise battery life and recharge intervals. Chip-on-glass (COG) technology enhances compact dimensions and maximises viewing area. The 200cd/m2 brightness (typical) and contrast ratio of 200:1 maximises readability under a wide range of ambient lighting conditions, including operation outdoors.

The MC20E2D is a two-row STN dot-matrix display with integral antistatic circuitry to save design effort and reduce external components for end products deployed in environments that experience large static charges. A choice of backlight colours, including yellow-green, red, amber and orange are available, with 5.0cd/m2 brightness enabling clear legibility.

The MF240320B24-BFW has a standard 80-system 8-, 9-, 16-, 18-bit bus CPU/RGB interface, enabling easy integration into new system designs as well as direct replacement of higher cost units in existing designs. Typical applications for the LCD include handheld equipment and wearable computing. Potential applications for the Everbouquet MC20E2D include industrial equipment, medical instruments, test and measurement products and office equipment.
