Keyboard has built-in fingertip sensor

At the Biometrics 2007 Conference, October 17-19, Cherry Electrical Products will launch its new G83-14601 and G83-14701 series keyboards which include an integrated fingertip slide sensor. These robust and affordable keyboards feature the AuthenTec AES2501B swipe sensor, and will suit applications in areas such as education, banking, transportation, security, office/data entry, manufacturing, field services, and POS/POT and kiosk applications.

The G83-14601 also features a PS/SC smart card reader which is compatible with the CardMan 3121 software package. The PC/SC smart card reader is located at the top of the keyboard, and allows for the user to perform a single-handed card insertion. The card remains in plain view during this process.

All G83-14601/14701 Series keyboards feature a 105-position full QWERTY key layout with Windows Vista keys. Operating systems included: Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, XP 64Bit, CE, Linux, Mac OS X and Vista.

Cherry’s G83-14601/14701 keyboards are offered in black and come standard with a USB 2.0 interface and approx 6 ft cable length. They measure 45.5x19.5x5.3cm footprint, weigh 1.18kg, and are available ex-stock.
