Lanner has introduced the NCA-5310, a 1U rackmount network appliance built with AMD’s EPYC 7000 Series CPU (up to 64C128T), delivers highly parallel workloads, PCIe 4.0 I/O performance, 40Gbps encryption/decryption security acceleration and is designed for application delivery, mobile edge computing, WAN optimisation, DPI/IPS/IDS, NFV/SDN and NGFW/UTM.

The NCA-5310’s specs include its support for up to 512GB DDR4 3200MHz ECC REG DIMM, dual RJ45 ports (GbE & Console), 2x 2.5” HDD/SSD bays and 1x PCIe*8 FHHL.

What’s more, the NCA-5310 can be configured with up to four NIC modules that support 1/10/40/100G copper/fibre interface, greatly enhancing the NCA-5310’s scalability and functionality. These NIC module slots can be fitted with Lanner’s F.A.S.T. module solutions for enabling the following functionalities:

  1. F.A.S.T. connectivity series: for 1G/10G/40G/100G Ethernet speeds in one or more modular slots; they can be retrofitted via either copper or fiber interface and are equipped with G3 copper and fibre bypass. Also featured are supports for TAP, POE functions, mini-PCIE slots for WiFi/LTE connectivity and PCIE slots for other network options.
  2. F.A.S.T. storage series: for creating storage options such as PCIE and NVME storage that support 3.5” HDD, 2.5” HDD/SSD and PCIE slots for RAID/HBA cards.
  3. F.A.S.T. open compute series: for fulfilling the open compute market hardware requirements for PCIE x8/x16 FHHL cards, network acceleration cards, flow processing cards and video transcoding, enabling 4K video with H.265.
