HCC Embedded today announced the release of an advanced plug-in to accelerate the debug process for its middleware customers using IAR Embedded Workbench. HCC develops advanced middleware that will work seamlessly with any RTOS.
- C-Spy plug-in can be used for rapid debug when using HCC’s TCP/IP stacks or eTaskSync scheduler.

- Compatible with all microcontrollers.

- Plug-in is available immediately and can be downloaded free of charge with object code based demo applications.

The new plug-in allows developers using HCC’s MISRA compliant TCP/IP stack and eTaskSync verifiable scheduler to get valuable insight into the run-time states of the software. The plug-in displays advanced debug information in C-SPY for HCC’s TCP/IP Stack and eTaskSync verifiable scheduler and it will work with any target MCU.

Supplied with a fully functional demo application, the plug-in allows the developer to inspect buffers, structures and variables used by the stack. It can also provide a snapshot of the status at any time during execution. If used with the eTaskSync MISRA compliant cooperative scheduler, the execution status and state of tasks and objects are displayed, simplifying debug and test using Embedded Workbench.

“The new plug-in gives new possibilities for our customers using TCP/IP communication protocols together with IAR Embedded Workbench,” comments Mats Ullström, Director of Products and Services, IAR Systems. “Thanks to the integration, users gain access to a high-performing TCP/IP stack completely integrated with our comprehensive C-SPY Debugger, and we are very pleased with our partnership with HCC Embedded that made this happen.”

“HCC develops software for high quality and challenging embedded applications and IAR Embedded Workbench provides the ideal environment for this kind of development and debug” said David Brook, Director of Marketing at HCC Embedded.

The plug-in is available immediately and can be downloaded through the Embedded Workbench user interface free of charge.
