As an extension to its portfolio of top-branded soldering tools RS Components has added the WellerFT fume-extraction systems, comprising versatile configurations and accessories that ensure a cleaner environment for up to four workplaces. The new ZERO SMOG 2 is an economical, portable extractor unit that can be placed under or next to the benchtop.

The turbine uses a brushless motor for maintenance-free longevity, and a choice of single or 2x flexible extraction arms provides high-performance extraction for up to two workplaces. A special adhesive-fume variant with additional built-in chemical filtering is also available.

The ZERO SMOG 4V system provides extraction for two to four positions, with speed control to optimise airflow at individual workplaces.

ZERO SMOG 4V introduces a unique feature in this market sector by linking with Weller WX solder stations and rework units through the WX hub and WFV60 valve, which enables multiple workplaces to benefit from individual remote adjustment and automatic shutdown.

These extraction systems are suitable for hand soldering, solder baths, hot-air soldering, micro soldering, and gluing and cleaning work.

RS is stocking convenient kits that contain everything needed to set up extraction for one or more workspaces, and is also able to supply extractor units, arms, nozzles, a large-size hood for volume extraction, and replacement filters on an individual basis.

The flexible arms are available in various lengths and can be clamped to the bench or special rotating arm mounts, or directly onto the extraction unit.
