Ultra-thin antennas operate from 380-520Mhz & 698-960Mhz

Pulse Electronics Corporation introduces a recent edition in the Clarity family of antennas that operates at UHF band frequencies including 380-520MHz and 698-960MHz to improve public safety radio coverage. The Clarity-Pearl antennas deliver an architecturally pleasing solution to requirements set by the International Fire Code and National Fire Protection Association (IFC/NFPA) codes for public safety in-building communication.

Their ultra-thin white UV stabilised plastic radome is 311mm in diameter and protrudes just 9.5mm below the ceiling for the lowest in-building antenna profile in the industry. They provide an antenna solution for challenges created by multi-story structures with weak propagation characteristics and basements with low ceilings.

"It is critical that reception be clear, reliable, and continually available in buildings where public safety is involved, such as for public safety repeater systems in hospitals, malls, high-profile office buildings, government facilities, schools and low-ceiling basement deployments, yet the aesthetics and appearance of antennas can make architects and designers reluctant to install them," said Olivier Robin, General Manager, Pulse Electronics Wireless Infrastructure business unit.

"Pulse Electronics' Clarity-Pearl antenna provides unparalleled signal clarity and reliability without compromising appearance." Pulse Electronics' Clarity-Pearl family of in-building public safety antennas has a maximum VSWR of 2:1. It is RoHS compliant and meets UL94-V0 flammability requirements. Its 500mm coax pigtail assembly with N-Female connector makes installation easy. The antennas are sold in bulk and samples are available. Pulse Electronics will debut the Clarity-Pearl antenna at the DAS and Small Cell Congress Europe, Sheraton Munich Arabellapark Hotel, in Munich, Germany, on December 9th and 10th in booth 18.
