The rugged CTA103 accelerometers from Aptifirst Instrumentation and Technology are able to withstand up to 4,000g of acceleration overload. The MEMS precision capacitative silicon devices that form the cores of the accelerometers are potted in a 30 x 25 x 15mm, IP65 aluminium housing to provide maximum reliability. The transducers are available with either 0.5-4.5V voltage output (CTA103V), or with a 4-20mA current loop output (CTA103A).
Also, they may be supplied with a flying lead integral cable, or with a sub-miniature mil-spec plug connector. The accelerometers are available with sensitivities from +/- 2g to+/- 200g, have a bandwidth from DC up to 1,500Hz, and a resonant frequency of 5kHz. The voltage output options have a choice of supply voltage between either 5V DC or 8-16V DC. Their operating temperature range is -55 to +125°C, with their compensated temperature range being -20 to +70°C., and they can be supplied with calibration certificates traceable to National standards.

Applications include condition monitoring, sports dynamics, aerospace, defence, marine, offshore, troubleshooting, rail and road vehicles, factory and site machinery, R & D, troubleshooting, and many more.
