Outdoor wide-temperature edge router enables 4G/5G virtualised small cell solution
The demand within the global small cell networks market has been rising on account of the growing popularity of LTE networks. The NCR-1510 Series Edge Router from Lanner is designed to be deployed in remote installations with a wide environmental temperature range (-40 to +70℃) and fanless cooling for many outdoor cabinets. While initially targeted at vRAN applications, the NCR-1510 Series Edge Router is well suited for industrial site monitoring, Internet of Things (IoT) gateways, and smart city applications as well as private cloud installations, both on-premise and remote.
Powered by Intel Atom C3000 (codenamed Denverton) CPU, the NCR-1510 features solid performance and Intel’s QuickAssist Technology running at 10Gbps, offering cryptographic acceleration and industrial-grade LAN functions in a compact form factor. It is the optimal fanless desktop network appliance for SD-WAN, uCPE or edge router for 5G network infrastructure.
The new SKU D, E and F are now equipped with extension slots for PGN (Pigeon) module - a swappable caddy to enable 4G/4.5G LTE communication. The module comes with dual SIM slots enabling resilient and uninterrupted LTE network connectivity.
