The Draco tera compact KVM matrix switch series, manufactured by IHSE, now features models capable of switching SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and 3G-SDI. Through the incorporation of I/O cards which can be individually loaded with SFP modules for coax and fibre connections, the switches allow users to choose and mix transmission formats.

The Draco tera compact 8U comprises eight ports for SDI and USB 3.0 over a mix of fibre and coax, depending on the SFP modules used. By using the appropriate coax adapter cable, users can integrate the switch into the existing coax infrastructure. For fibre installations, users can adapt the switch with the 3G-SDI fibre SFP option. The SDI media conversion between signals available from a coax network to fibre output or vice-versa, are supported by the card.

Hybrid versions of the Draco tera compact 64 and 80 port switches, which feature 48 Cat X ports and 16 or 32 UNI ports for SDI and USB 3.0, are also available. With these hybrid switches, USB 3.0 and SDI are extended in parallel with KVM extenders for HDMI, DVI, Dual Link DVI and DisplayPort up to 4K resolution. Within the same switch frame, USB 2.0, audio and serial interfaces are also included.
