The trend towards electromobility enables mobility not only for cars, but the entire electronics industry. Essential elements for the use of these vehicles are the charger plugs which ensure quick and easy 'refueling'. ODU’s single contacts are successfully used in this type of applications. The company's portfolio now includes the ODU STAMPTAC. The stamped and rolled socket contact enables automatable processing to be conducted by the automobile supplier.

These economical production methods precisely meet the industry’s demands. Further advantages of the ODU STAMPTAC include low wear and the dependable transmission of power currents. The single contact enables consistently low mating forces and uniform contact resistance – even after 10,000 mating cycles.

“Our contact technology has proven itself extremely reliable in many automotive applications,” explains Richard Espertshuber, Director, Automotive Division, ODU. “We are now going one step further by expanding our portfolio. The stamped contact reduces production costs and increases production speed at the same time. These two factors play a big role both for the supplier and for the end customer, the automotive manufacturer.”

The ODU STAMPTAC comes in two sizes with diameters of 3 or 6mm.
