WIN Enterprises has announced the PL-80980, a 1U Rackmount networking system designed for today's networking tasks. The device uses the new Intel 14nm micro -architecture Skylake-S series 6th gen Core i7/i5/i3 processor and the Intel H110 PCH chipset.

With next generation 3-D tri-gate design, the 6th generation Intel Core processor enhances performance while lowering thermal design power (TDP). In addition, a new socket type, LGA 1151, has been released for this die-shrinking architecture.

Features:

  • supports Intel Skylake-S series 6th gen Core i7/i5/i3 processors, LGA 1151
  • two-channel DDR4 2,133MHz un-buffered/non-ECC memory, maximum support 32GB
  • maximum support provided for fourteen GbE Copper LAN ports with one Bypass function
  • flexible PCIe port configuration

PL-80980 supports two DDR4 2,133MHz un-buffered/non-ECC DIMM and maximum memory capacity of up to 32GB. The powerful storage interface supports 2.5” SATA 3.0 HDD/SSD and has one m-SATA slot for basic network storage applications. PL-80980 supports flexible PCIe port configuration: unit comes with standard PCIe X8 module or an optional PCIe X8 slot that supports an additional Ethernet module. Multiple Ethernet modules support: eight GbE Copper; eighy GbE fibre; four 10GbE fibre and the maximum fourteen GbE Copper ports with Bypass function.

IO features include: one console port, two USB 3.0 ports, a LCD module with 5-button keypad, and LEDs to indicate Power, HDD, and Status.
