15” panel PC is successfully ATEX and IECEx certified

APLEX Technology has announced its success in the ATEX and IECEx certification for its AEx series 15” panel PCs. The series complies with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements relating to the design and construction of equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

The AEx-P526 meets the ATEX95-n (EN-60079:15) Zone 2 standard and IECEx certificate of conformity, allowing customers to implement their applications with more safety and reliability.

The top priority for oil and gas industry is safety and equipment in such places where ignitable concentrations of flammable gases, vapours or liquids might exist needs to meet strict safety benchmarks. With total IP65 certified design and powered by Intel Atom D2550 processor, APLEX AEx-P526 features low power consumption, ease operation and robustness; as a result, this device is suited for hazardous applications especially in the oil and gas industry. This 15" AEx-P526 is made out of 316 stainless steel enclosures, which allows the device to withstand aggressive cleaning processes and offers reliable capability. The fanless AEx-P526 is equipped with two USB 2.0, one LAN , one COM1 and one COM 2 ports. It has a wide-ranging power input (11-32VDC) port with M12 connector cables and provides sealed & stable communications.

AEx-P526 offers preloaded Microsoft Windows 7 pro for embedded and windows embedded standard 7.
