Due to its small dimensions, SUYIN’s new surface-mount 254070FB009XX26XX 8-pin SIM card connector is particularly well suited for use in diverse space-critical applications ranging from all kinds of miniaturized portable electronics devices to automotive navigation systems. Its particularly robust design also permits use in in point-of-sale (POS) terminals and other stationary systems. Featuring a high level of durability the connectors allow 5,000 mating cycles. The use of advanced insert molding production technologies made it possible to realize the extremely compact format with a width of 19.3 mm and a length of 26.35 mm, as well as the extremely low-profile overall height of just 1.7 mm. During card insertion, a push-push locking mechanism automatically ensures reliable latching into the connector. Pressing the card briefly again causes it to eject. Reliable card detection is accomplished with the aid of an integrated detect switch.
SUYIN expressly points out that – depending on the order volume and time requirements – it is definitely also possible to implement many different kinds of customer-specific adaptations, such as additional housing retention tabs for through-hole mounting, contact plating alternatives, special colors, and many other options.
