Yamaichi Electronics is launching the new FMS006-3810-0 super-low profile reader with a tray for SIM cards. With the FMS006-3810-0, Yamaichi is expanding its portfolio of high-quality SIM card readers with another six-pin version. The special feature of this reader is the tray function, which is practical for applications in which the SIM card must be changed frequently or should be easily accessible without opening the housing. This card reader has a tray in which the SIM card is inserted, then pushed together with it into the card reader. The SIM card then lies in complete protection in the card reader.
The tray offers one particular advantage: its stop function. That means that it can be pulled out only to a certain point initially, in order to permit the convenient insertion or removal of the card. However, if necessary the tray can also be removed entirely with the exertion of additional force.

The insulation body of the card reader is made of LCP, while the metal cover and additional ribs are made of SUS. This ensures outstanding stability and coplanarity.

Another outstanding feature is its gold-plated contacts. They offer high contact reliability even with vibration and shock.

Since the card reader has a low profile of only 1.65 mm, it is ideal for applications with very narrow installation space.

The unit is mounted with SMT soldering on the bottom of the PCB (reversed type).

The card reader is delivered packaged on tape reel belts and the trays inserted.

Yamaichi Electronics offers many other card connectors for all available Flash and SIM card types in different form factors such as microSD, miniSD, RS-MMC, MMCmicro, CompactFlash, xD Card, multicard versions, etc.
