A press-fit version of a BNC female/female adaptor has been developed by connector manufacturer GTK, allowing up to 80% reduction in assembly time. These can easily be removed or replaced by using a simple extraction tool.
Non-press-fit adaptors are usually terminated in patch panels using a nut and lock washer, which is very time consuming. However, GTK’s device fits rapidly and securely in the panel with almost no movement, and is suitable for traditional D-shaped holes (13mm x 12.1mm) in 3mm panels.

Body is fully turned in brass then nickel plated. Contact is gold plated over brass, while the press fit spring is polycarbonate. Insulator is Teflon to ensure the highest quality performance.

The parts - primarily for use in the broadcasting industry - are available in 50 and 75 ohm versions, samples of which are available now.
