Lane Electronics, recognized as an industry leader for the supply of electrical and electronic interconnection products, has announced three ranges of plastic bodied circular connectors designed to suit a variety of applications where space is at a premium.
Manufactured by Weald Electronics, for whom Lane Electronics is the sole UK distributor, the SM/SMA Series are available with 1, 2 or 3 contacts while the SMC Series has 3 contacts. The SM/SMA Series connectors are rated at 3, 7 and 12A and the SMC Series at 3A. All three series feature a peak working voltage of 500V, DC or AC.

The plastic mouldings give the range high arc resistance and high dielectric and mechanical strength while the spring-tempered, phosphor bronze contacts are gold plated for low contact resistance, easy soldering and proof against corrosion.

For the SM/SMA Series, either plug or socket can be mounted to chassis or bulkhead and there is a choice of six coloured discs for identification purposes. The connector hoods are equally suitable for plugs or sockets and can be supplied in black or blue.

SMC Series connectors come in black, white or blue plastic moulded housings.

Typical uses include test and measurement, laboratory equipment, portable products, instrumentation and a wide range of applications in schools, colleges, universities and teaching establishments.

Lane Electronics is an ideal source for all key connector types including circular, filtered, RF, coaxial, sub – miniature, backshells and adaptors, D connectors, aerospace, test & measurement, IDC, PCB connectors, edge connectors and connectors for rack and panel applications.
