HellermannTyton has launched Cable Scout Cam, a professional miniature HD inspection camera for viewing electrical installations in inaccessible areas such as suspended ceilings, conduits or stud walls.

The newest product in HellermannTyton’s range of cable management solutions and accessories features a 2 mega pixel camera with a focal distance of 4–8 cm and a 70° view angle and it includes eight dimmable integrated LED lamps, to ensure perfect viewing in the dark.

Cable Scout Cam can be used with Android, iOS (via a free app), Windows and MAC operating systems to deliver real-time video and still images in HD quality via Wi-Fi to connected mobile devices or computers. Users can review, edit and save the captured images via the app or desktop for reporting and documentation.

Included in the set are four handy accessories that can be attached to the camera head, including a watertight lens, hook, magnet and mirror.

The watertight IP68 lens cover protects the camera in damp or humid cavities while the mirror enables viewing around 90° corners.

The magnet and hook help salvage lost tools or parts.

The camera head diameter is 8 mm and the camera casing is made of robust aluminium

Cable Scout Cam is available from electrical distributors and can be used in combination with HellermannTyton Cable Scout+ cable rods and accessories.
