Focus EDL, the UK’s leading distributor of electronic components for the industrial networking industry, announces the Tibbo EM202-EV Ethernet to Serial board.
Based on Tibbo’s successful EM202 Ethernet module, the new 100BaseT board can be used as a fast and convenient way to evaluate the module’s suitability for an Ethernet to serial device application or as a finished solution that can be incorporated into production units. Here, it can be used to create a standalone device server or built in to a serial device as a network comms board.

It is built on a compact printed circuit board measuring just 52.6 x 38mm, provides one 100BaseT Ethernet port, one serial port and is available with two power options – direct 5Vdc input, or onboard power regulator with an input range of 9 to 24Vdc.

Using TiBBO’s application firmware, the is easy to use or integrate since set-up can be performed through the serial port or via the network where over-the-network IP-address configuration is supported.

It can be supplied in three versions depending on the choice of serial port – RS232 (-RS) or TTL-Level (-TM or –TS).
