Circular cable and chassis data connectors

Lane Electronics has made available two cable and chassis connector series from the leading circular connector specialist Neutrik. According to Lane Electronics, Neutrik leads the way in providing interconnection solutions for the professional audio and entertainment sectors but these two connector series will also find wide application in areas of industry where the need for total data signal integrity is paramount.

Neutrik’s etherCON is a ruggedized and lockable RJ45 connector system in an XLR type body. Although optimized for professional audio, video and lighting network applications including video walls and digital lighting desks, etherCON is ideally suited for use where a standard RJ45 connector is too fragile. The connector is available in cable and chassis formats along with a wide range of accessories and tooling.

As the name suggests, opticalCON is Neutrik’s fibre optic connector solution and is available with a single fibre capability on up to a 24 fibre capacity.  Applications for opticalCON include professional digital mixing desks and broadcast as well as high bandwidth data systems in areas like video walls, F1 monitoring systems and digital signage.

opticalCON is a pre-assembled rugged and lightweight cable connector accommodating 2, 4, 12 & 24 fibres (multimode or single mode) based on conventional and proven LC & MTP connectivity protected by a ruggedized and durable all-metal housing. It features a spring loaded push-pull locking mechanism and an excellent cable retention utilizing aramid yarn. The optical connection is exceptional well protected against dirt and dust by an automatically operated sealing cover. The cable connector comes pre-assembled and is not available as a single component.

The cable is available in different lengths and is packed either in a case, on drum or airspool.
