Cables/Connecting
Mezza-pede 1mm SMT Connectors Now Available with 36 Positions
Mezza-pede SMT Connectors from Advanced Interconnections Corp. are now available with 36 positions. Designed for 1mm pitch micro board-to-board and flex cable-to-board applications, the low profile Mezza-pede Connector system has passed the mixed flowing gas (MFG) test and is especially suited for high reliability applications from military to medical and other demanding environments.
Branched solar power cables from Multi-Contact for faster assembly
Connecting solar arrays is an onerous task now made easier with introduction of branched photovoltaic (PV) cables by Multi-Contact. Having the branches already attached to the main cable considerably decreases assembly times, reducing overall costs while also increasing reliability. The continuous main cable also means there are fewer connections, thereby reducing contact resistance.
Slimline connector for interfacing up to 168 points in test systems
Now available exclusively in the UK from the Peak Group is the i2 Micro iCon connector from Virginia Panel Corporation. Offering up to 168 signal contacts in a slimline configuration, the new connector offers a mass interconnect solution for automatic test systems including equipment based on PXI cards.
Data cable assemblies for ISO/IEC 11801 Categories 5, 6 and 7
HARTING can now supply a range of cable assemblies for data transmission in ISO/IEC 11801 Categories 5, 6 and 7 for a range of environmental conditions.
New 26.5 GHz Coaxial Cable Assemblies from Crystek
Crystek has introduced the 190 Series CCK26.5 and CCSMA26.5 Cable Assemblies, new additions to their line of Low-Loss RF Coaxial Cables. Designed to operate up to 26.5GHz, the 190 Series CCK26.5 and CCSMA26.5 Cable Assemblies offer a minimum bend radius of 1.1 in. and are available in-stock with 2.92mm (K) and high frequency SMA connectors, featuring rugged stainless-steel solder-clamp construction and heavy-duty strain reliefs.
Mill-Max’s Smallest Receptacle
To date, this is the smallest receptacle Mill-Max has ever made. The Mill-Max #8210 receptacle is a combination of a precision machined shell and a stamped 3-finger beryllium copper spring contact. The contact accepts mating pins in the range .008 to .013 diameter, and the shell has a .012 diameter tail. The shell and contact are both gold plated for a long service life.
New Rittal Connector Gland
Rittal’s new connector gland offers significantly less assembly work, a flexible sealing system for different cable diameters and simple entry of pre-assembled cables for easy routing.
Radiall Introduces a New Adapter for EN4531 Optical Contacts
Radiall USA, Inc. introduces its new size 5 EN4531 Optical Adapter for existing MIL-C-81659B / DSX series (ARINC 404 standard) connectors. It is available in both male and female versions for either plug or receptacle DSX connectors. It is suitable for standard EN4531 multimode optical contacts (termini).
High voltage connector for avionics
LEMO announced the launch of its new high voltage connector for avionics. The connector’s design prevents voltage creeping on the surface of the insulator.
Lead Times Shortened for ITW McMurdo MIL/Aerospace Connectors Assembled in the UK by Lane Electronics
Lane Electronics is a franchised assembling distributor for several ITW McMurdo product ranges including the 801 and 801CX Series two part PCB connector, and the Micronector 200 and Micronector 300 high density 2mm pitch connectors.
