Yamaichi Electronics has introduced a product to its Y-Con industrial connector series, a 90° moulded version of the IP20Lock with RJ45 plug, designed for high vibration environments. The Y-ConIP20Lock-31xx products are cable assemblies moulded together with the proven IP20 locking mechanism which, thanks to the ergonomic locking clips can be handled easily and without the need for tools.
The clips lock into a holding frame screwed to the application housing thus preventing mechanical stress on the interface itself and protecting it from damage. The 90° moulded design offers the shortest possible overhang of just ca. 30mm, saving space in confined areas and yet still offering a secure strain relief. Assemblies are offered made to order in the length required.

In addition to the locking clip is a new slider mechanism which offers additional mechanical security and even higher retention forces by blocking the IP20Lock from opening inadvertently.

The Y-ConIP20Lock-10 and -31xx products offer the smallest IP20 vibration stabile solution with additional locking mechanism. Their compact design allows not only integration into 19-inch rack systems, but also makes it suitable for a large number of industrial applications where vibration stability is a main issue, for example: rail and traffic systems, mechanical engineering video link systems, control cabinets etc..

The holding frame is available as a single, double, quad and, on request, eightfold version. The strain relief with locking clips is suitable for all Y-ConRJ45 plug type connectors, also for those having additional power contacts.
