Finding standard off-the-shelf IP67 or IP69K rated enclosures used to be a real challenge for electronic design engineers. Today, however, the situation has changed considerably. ROLEC now offers its advanced diecast aluminium enclosures with the option of factory fitted IP protection class upgrades.
Depending upon the type of enclosure, the ratings can be increased from IP66 to IP67 and IP67 to IP69K.

IP67 provides protection for equipment subject to temporary submersion in water, whereas IP69K provides protection for applications where high pressure and high temperature wash down is used to sanitise equipment.

In the past designers were forced to invest in their own custom manufactured enclosures because the standard housings could not guarantee protection beyond IP66.

This is why today ROLEC offers three of its most advanced diecast enclosures with a standard protection class rating of IP67 which can be upgraded to IP69K:

aluCASE (IP67, IP69K) – top quality diecast enclosures for walls, bulkheads and machines, can be fitted with lid closed. Features include hidden fixings, transparent lids (two models) and key locks (optional).

aluCLIC (IP67, IP69K) – modern enclosures that click into place, speeding up installation. No visible fixings, can be installed with lid closed to ensure complete protection of the electronics inside

aluDISC (IP67, IP69K) – the world’s first round standard aluminium enclosures, hidden fixings, optional lid hinge, available with transparent lid cover.

Also, the aluPLUS series is a new range of industry standard size diecast aluminium enclosures which can be upgraded from IP66 to IP67.

The upgrades are carried out at ROLEC’s factory by fitting special gaskets to the enclosures prior to final assembly.

At the same time, ROLEC can also carry out all the necessary customisation in order to fit the electronic/electrical components. Options include: CNC milling and drilling, silk-screen printing, assembly of cable glands and terminals and much more – providing a fully finished housings ready for fitting the equipment.
