Suited for industrial control, particularly demanding marine and offshore applications, ROLEC has launched the commandCASE range of high quality diecast aluminium enclosures. With a robust construction and IP66 protection rating, the versatile enclosures can be mounted on suspension arms, machine housings, walls and bulkheads.

The commandCASE enclosures are available in three versions: the Standard Version has a hinged lid with snap closures (with or without an optional key lock on the snap closure); Version I has a hinged lid secured from the rear on the unhinged side by two stainless steel screws; and Version II has an unhinged lid secured by four stainless steel screws. Polypropylene lid retaining straps are also supplied and the lid also has a large 1.7mm deep recess for mounting a membrane keypad or product label.

Providing extra ingress protection, the rear screw ports are covered by snap-in plugs to prevent tampering. The chloroprene lid gasket is designed for temperatures ranging from -30 to +90°C. By specifying an optional silicon gasket, this range can be extended (-50 to +140°C). Customers can also specify an EMC gasket to prevent electromagnetic interference.

The commandCASE enclosure versions are each available in six sizes (from 230x200x120 to 430x300x120mm), in standard Light Grey (RAL 7035) or custom colours.

Customising options include CNC milling and drilling; silk-screen and tampo printing of legends and logos; assembly of cable glands and other components. Other accessories include an internal mounting plate.

Prices for commandCASE start at £220.
