Wide range of industrial motherboards upgraded

Supplier of industrial communication solutions, Advantech, has upgraded a wide range of its platforms, including industrial ATX motherboards, slot single board computers (SBCs), modular IPCs, industrial server boards, and transportation platforms have been fitted with eighth-gen Intel Core i/Xeon E Family processors.

These eighth-gen Intel Core i/Xeon E Family processors deliver a 25% performance boost with six cores. Equipped with a ninth-gen Intel graphics engine, Intel Core i/Xeon E Family processors offer rapid video acceleration, three independent 4K Ultra HD displays, and support USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbs). These new processors are ideal for powering intelligent systems aimed at diverse markets, such as video surveillance, medical, industrial automation, and transportation infrastructure.

Advantech has upgraded several of its intelligent system product lines with eighth-gen Intel Core i7/i5/i3 and Xeon E Family processors. Product lines upgraded include, the PCE-5131, PCE-5031, and PCE-7131 series of the industrial-grade PICMG 1.3 single-board computer (SBC) line; the AIMB-786 and AIMB-706 series of the ATX form factor line; and the ASMB-586 and ASMB-786 series of the server-grade motherboard line have been upgraded.

In addition to Intel’s latest processors, the PCE-5131, PCE-5031, and PCE-7131 industrial-grade PICMG 1.3 SBCs are equipped with multiple backplanes, diverse I/O, and various expansion slots to provide flexibility and performance.

The Advantech ATX motherboard line, AIMB-786 and AIMB-706 series support up to seven expansion slots. With the inclusion of Intel Core family processors, these motherboards offer high performance computing and a wide range of system capabilities to support demanding industrial applications that require seamless upgrades, long term support, proven reliability, and strict revision control.

Equipped with an upgraded Intel Core i7/i5/i3/Xeon E Family processor with DDR4 memory, the ASMB-586 and ASMB-786 server-grade motherboards can easily deliver increased computing efficiency for applications that require high-performance computing.
