The cExpress-WL COM Express Compact Size Type 6 module from ADLINK fulfils the requirements of size, weight, and power (SWaP)-constrained edge computing applications.

It is in stock at Mouser Electronics.

The cExpress-WL module features an 8th Gen Intel Core processor (formerly codenamed Whiskey Lake-U) with four cores and up to 64GBytes of memory capacity.

The quad-core processor support up to eight threads and an impressive turbo boost of up to 4.8GHz, delivering 40% better performance at an increase of 15W of thermal design power (TDP) at a similar cost.

The cExpress-WL module provides standard support for up to 64GBytes non-ECC DDR4 in two SO-DIMMs, while still fully complying with PICMG COM.0 mechanical specifications.

It supports USB 3.1 Gen 2, allowing for a maximum transfer speed of 10Gbits per second (Gbps), making it ideal for transferring uncompressed UHD video streams from multiple USB cameras.

USB 3.1 Gen 2 paired with high-performance Intel UHD Graphics and Intel Distribution of OpenVINO Toolkit makes this module a highly flexible building block for emerging artificial intelligence (AI), machine vision and surveillance applications.

Additionally, the module offers low power consumption and high performance for applications such as medical ultrasound, test and measurement, factory automation, and industrial HMI.
