A new 3.5in single board computer (SBC), the MS-98F3, that is powered by the  latest Intel Haswell/Broadwell ULT processors has been introduced by Data Modul. The system-on-chip (SoC) offers low power consumption and high performance capabilities.  The fanless SBC is equipped with one 204-pin DDR3L SODIMM socket that supports up to 8GB DDR3L 1333/1600 memory.

Heating spots like CPU are located at the rear side of the PCB, the passive heatsink is included in the delivery.

Along VGA and HDMI (SKU1) or DisplayPort and HDMI (SKU2), it has one Dual Channel 24 bit LVDS interface und supports dual independent displays.

Furthermore the MS-98F3 offers a multitude of other interfaces like 2 x USB 3.0, 4 x USB 2.0, 4 x COM (one of them is switchable to RS232/422/485), 8 GPIOs, 2 x SATA, HD Audio and Dual Gigabit Ethernet.

The SBC has an internal power connector, the DC input can be configured to 12V / 19V 24V. A special feature provides two Mini-PCIe slots (one half-size, one with mSATA support) to be very flexible in the field and expandable for many different embedded applications.

It has a guaranteed long-term availability of at least five years. It is an ideal solution for many intelligent systems, such as kiosk, vending machine, POS & ATMs, automotive, retail, medical, security and in-vehicle infotainment.

It is also available as kit-solution with a wide range of TFT Displays (AUO, Sharp, Innolux,...) along with matching cable set and adapted Power-ON/OFF timing. Therefore a time intensive display adjustment process will not be necessary anymore.
