Development kit delivers high performance digital control
The C2000 Delfino F28377S LaunchPad development kit from Texas Instruments is available from Farnell element14. The development kit delivers high-performance digital control for use in power conversion and motor control applications. The low-cost development board is based on the Delfino TMS320F28377S MCU, contains 1MB of on-board flash and includes highly differentiated peripherals such as 12bit ADCs, comparators, DACs, delta-sigma sinc filters,...
SBC meets size-requirements for slim chassis applications
An SBC with Intel Celeron Quad Core N2930/Atom Dual Core E3825 processor has been released by Advantech. The MIO-3260, which is suitable for industrial, medical POS and home automation applications, can be used in two ways: as a carrier board or as a standalone unit.
Connectivity kit aids RF modules understanding
The Digi XBee Wireless Connectivity Kit (XKB2-AT-WWC) will be available exclusively through Digi-Key for the next 90 days for $59. The platform provides a comprehensive resource for developers to better understand how XBee RF modules can be used for wireless device connectivity and sensor networking solutions.
Produce complex boards with new brochure
They are barely visible to the naked eye and have names like 03015 or 01005, but they are achieving great new things in the world of electronics. The smallest of components, such as microchips, capacitors and resistors, are gaining ground when it comes to the manufacturing of electronic products. They offer new technological solutions and challenge the industry to make compromises, so as to keep up-to-date with the trend towards miniaturisation.
SBC features Intel's latest quad core Celeron J1900 2.0GHz processor
Utilising Intel's latest quad core Celeron J1900 2.0GHz processor, with the same CPU performance as 3rd generation Core i3, the Advantech MIO-5251 SBC is positioned as the best choice between previous generation Atom and Core i platforms.
Module designed using SAW resonator technology
Crystek Microwave announces the release of a 2.5GHZ Phase Locked Clock Source with internal reference, the CRFS75-2500. Crystek designed the module using proprietary circuitry and Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) resonator technology to provide ultra-low jitter/phase noise performance with true SineWave output. The resulting source features -105dBc/Hz phase noise at 10KHz offset and a noise floor of -167dBc/Hz.
Ejector handles and panels are suited for 3U & 6U VPX boards
Pixus Technologies now offers ejector handles and panels for 3U and 6U VPX boards. Designed in Europe, the high-quality handles are offered at highly competitive prices. The Pixus Type IV IEEE hot-swap ejector handles feature a rounded base that allow the handle to rock back, providing leverage to insert/remove VPX boards more easily. The handles can engage over 1,000N (or 225 pounds) of force per slot.
Mini-ITX motherboard delivers cost-effective graphics & media performance
Axiomtek has launched an industrial Mini-ITX motherboard, the MANO842, featuring quad-core SoC, fanless design, advanced graphics performance and 12VDC/STD ATX power input. The powerful MANO842 is equipped with a quad-core Intel Celeron J1900 processor with Intel HD Graphics engine, delivering outstanding computing, graphics and media performance at a competitive price.
Industrial mainboards available with 2nd gen AMD G-series SoCs
The Fujitsu D3313-S series of mini-ITX boards are now available in two new AMD Embedded G-series SoC versions. The D3313-S4 with a dual core, 2.2GHz and a cTDP of 10 to 15W and the new D3313-S5 with a quad core, 1.2GHz and a cTDP of 5 to 7W, both use the 2nd gen of AMD G-series SoCs.
Development board aids microcontroller beginners
The Curiosity development board from Microchip has been launched by Farnell element14. On board programming and debug via MPLAB X IDE and code generation via Microchip’s MCC will appeal to those new to microcontrollers such as hobbyists, makers and students. The board’s use of pdip components and access to most pins simplifies actual development for all users.
