Single board computers come in three models
The Neo single-board computers from UDOO are open-source, low-cost computers available in three models: Basic, Extended, and Full. Each Neo board is equipped with a Freescale i.MX 6 SoloX applications processor with a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 core for Android and Linux, and an embedded ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller, which makes the boards compatible with the Arduino environment.
Ultra-versatile computer board adapts to extreme temperatures
The 3.5" EmCORE-i230G, recently introduced by ARBOR, features either an Intel low-power dual-core Atom E3825 1.33GHz or quad-core E3845 1.91GHz processor soldered onboard. As part of Intel's E3800 family of processors, both deliver outstanding computer and graphics performance. It presents a very attractive and economic price for a compact board adapted to extreme temperatures environment (-40 - 85° C).
PCB boards come in miniature size
In order to meet the miniaturisation and energy saving demands for related end electronic products from the industrial and control market, MEAN WELL is pleased to unveil the 45W/65W ~EPS-45S/65S series with merely 3x2” PCB board size after the same 45W/65W EPS-45/65 series (4x2”) were released.
Industrial-grade boards meet the needs of vertical applications
DFI is introducing thirteen industrial motherboards based on the 6th Generation Intel Core processor family (codename Skylake) and built on Intel’s 14nm process technology. DFI's board lineup covers a range of platforms including: powerful workstations, cost-effective desktops and low thermal U-series processors to satisfy various requirements in embedded applications.
SoC fanless mini-ITX motherboard features rich graphics
Axiomtek announced the arrival of the MANO300, its low-power high performance mini-ITX motherboard built with the latest Intel Celeron processor N3150 SoC (codename: Braswell) with integrated Intel Gen 8 graphics supporting up to 4K resolution. Two SO-DIMM sockets are provided to support up to 8GB of DDR3L-1333 memory.
Development kit for smart home & IoT devices runs Brillo from Google
Imagination Technologies has launched a new development kit called Creator Ci40 on Kickstarter. The Ci40 microcomputer has been specifically designed for smart home, IoT and other connected devices (drones, robots, etc.) – but it also has the hardware requirements (802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port, SD and USB storage) needed to be used as a high-speed wireless router.
Companies to launch state-of-the-art transmitter receiver board
Utilising the power of e2v’s next-generation Analogue-to-Digital Converter (ADC) and Digital-to-Analogue Converter (DAC) technologies, ApisSys is developing its most advanced transmitter receiver board to date, the AV125. The prototype is scheduled for release mid-2016.
10A board mount EMC filter offers differential mode performance
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the iDQ series of 10A, 48Vdc nominal EMC filter modules. With high on-board capacitance, the filters are suitable for use with DC/DC converters, minimising the need for external components and thus saving on PCB area.
IoT development kit based on Arduino form factor
The SmartEverything Internet of Things (IoT) development kit from Arrow Electronics is in stock at RS Components. The new SmartEverything ‘Fox’ board is an Arduino-form-factor IoT system-on-module that comes with a multitude of factory-bundled I/O ports and sensors and with an energy-efficient wireless connectivity technology.
