As a Preferred Partner in the NVIDIA Partner Network, Syslogic is offering AI-assisted embedded systems. Syslogic’s AI Rugged Computer RPC RML A3 is, according to the manufacturer, one of the most robust devices on the market and is therefore well suited for rolling stock (railway vehicles) use.

Besides traditional railway applications, the AI-enabled industrial computer is also used in other transportation applications, such as autonomous shuttles, buses, or streetcars. For this purpose, the Syslogic embedded systems are combined with GMSL2 camera technology. To keep up with this trend, Syslogic has teamed up with camera manufacturer E-Con Systems. Accordingly, the two companies offer coordinated embedded and camera technology.

With up to eight GMSL2 camera inputs and four PoE inputs, the rugged computer is well equipped to handle demanding computer vision applications. Object, signal, and hazard detection are among the potential application areas, as is autonomous driving.

The RML A3 meets protection class IP67. Syslogic combines the NVIDIA module with a proprietary carrier board that fulfills high shock and vibration requirements. To protect the electronics against moisture, humidity, and dust, the rugged PC features a robust housing with screw-on M12 connectors. Furthermore, a Gore vent element ensures pressure equalisation inside the device. Syslogic offers a variety of interface configurations to respond flexibly to customer requirements.
