OSRAM LEDs specified in new 3M Micro Projector
3M is including OSRAM Opto Semiconductors’ LEDs in its new micro projectors, which can be connected to mobile phones and cameras. The small, bright, energy-saving diodes are the key to developing micro projectors, which could not be implemented with other light sources. OSRAM’s LEDs make micro-projection display sizes of more than a meter possible.
Free-for-Life Tool Cracks PCB Debug Challenge
With the breakthrough product family, JTAG Live, debugging boards too crowded for traditional probing becomes a whole lot easier. JTAG Live is ideal for electronics engineers and technicians to use in checking PCBs for basic continuity and correct operation.
High-Performance 3-Axis MEMS Gyroscope from STMicroelectronics Packs 360 Degrees of Freedom in a Single Package
STMicroelectronics has introduced a high performance single-package analog gyroscope that accurately measures angular rates along three orthogonal axes. Combining superior accuracy with high stability and a small size, ST’s 3-axis gyroscope heralds the widespread adoption of realistic-motion user interfaces in all kinds of consumer applications.
600W High Reliability Enclosed Power Supply now available from Ecopac Power Ltd.
Mean Well has introduced the high performance HRPG-600 series with high operating efficiency and low no load power consumption. After the introduction of the 150-watt HRPG-150 series, the new 600-watt models are now available. HRPG-600 series are AC/DC miniature enclosed type power supplies with PFC function that fulfill the requirement of EN61000-3-2 for harmonic current.
New Strong2 TFT-series with LED backlight
Sharp introduces a fully industry-compatible TFT series with LED backlight. Diagonals 5.7”, 8.4”, 10.4”, 12.1” and 15” are available. The portfolio will be extended by 6.4” and 12.1” shortly. A special housing design guarantees that the new TFT LCD withstands accelerations of up to 14.7m/s² in a range of 5 to 500kHz.
Renesas launches easy-to-use HMI platform for lowest-cost, high-quality TFT user interfaces
Renesas Technology Europe has announcesd the immediate availability of a new turn-key reference platform for lowest-cost Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) solutions, based on Renesas’ H8S/2456F high performance 16-bit Flash microcontroller. The kit enables engineers to develop HMI’s using colour TFT LCD quickly and easily. It targets a Bill-Of-Material (BOM) for a finished HMI module, including a QVGA TFT with 16-bit colour-depth, of under 20 €...
16-bit All Flash Microcontrollers with Embedded IEEE 802.15.4 Radio Transceiver for ZigBee RF4CE
NEC Electronics today introduced its three new 16-bit All Flash microcontrollers (MCUs) with embedded IEEE802.15.4-compliant 2.4 gigahertz (GHz) radio frequency (RF) transceiver for ZigBee® RF4CE, an industry standard for remote control in consumer electronics. The new MCUs are ideal for RF remote control and provide the lowest level of power consumption in the industry. The three new MCUs come with 56 pins and 8x8mm quad flat no-leads (QFN) pac...
