RS Components has extended its RS range of high-quality material filaments for 3D printers. The professionally approved RS filament range has been fully tested and delivers comparable high quality to that offered by the leading brands, but without a premium price tag. Significantly the filament is not machine specific and can be used with the majority of 3D printers that use the FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) or FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) printing technology.

The RS filament range now offers over 150 different filament products that are suitable for FDM printers and includes materials such as a slightly modified PLA, a high impact ABS, the user-friendly ABS PRO, dissolvable PVA and HIPS, flexible TPC FLEX 45 and CLEAR FLEX 65, PA12 Nylon, and wood.

All of the filaments are available in 1.75mm and 2.85mm diameters, along with a wide selection of different reel sizes including 250g, 300g, 500g and 1kg weight spools.

In PLA, ABS and ABS PRO a wide range of colours are available including black, blue, clear, gold, green, grey, natural, orange, pink, red, silver, translucent, white, and yellow.

Besides these standard colours RS filaments offer a thermochromatic dark grey, glow-in-the-dark green and fluorescent variants in orange and yellow, as well as wood.

The expanded RS filament range complements the RS 3D printing offer, which includes 3D printers, software and essential tools from RS and from other leading 3D printing suppliers.
