VPT Inc introduced its latest series of technical video labs that highlight the design considerations and performance characteristics of DC-DC power converters. Two video labs on the startup characteristics of DC-DC converters are now available. Six additional videos on a variety of popular power technology topics are planned for release throughout 2011.
VPTs video mini-labs are approximately 3-7 minutes in length and address common engineering questions regarding the integration of DC-DC converters into a high reliability military, avionics, or space power system in a systematic and time effective manner.

The first of the 2011 videos are:

• “Startup Characteristics of DC-DC Power Converters,” by Steve Butler, V.P. of Engineering
• “Startup Characteristics of DC-DC Power Converters with a High Capacitive Load,” by Callaway Cass, Sr. Design Engineer

“Our existing videos have had tens of thousands of views on both our Web site and our You Tube Channel,” said Michael J. Bosmann, Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing for VPT. “Additionally, our field sales force is continually asked to show these videos to customers “live” using our corporate iPads at the customers’ sites. The customer demand for these videos keeps growing, and our engineers are happy to continue to produce these videos as a quick, easy way to share important technical information.”

Currently, VPT offers 17 different technical videos on its Web site and YouTube channel. Engineers can access these videos in the “Video Labs” section found on VPT’s home page: www.vpt-inc.com. Engineers can also subscribe to VPT’s YouTube Channel, VPTTECH, to view videos and receive notification when new video labs become available.
