Sample kits of Ametherm's inrush current limiters and NTC sensing thermistors are now available from distributor Mouser Electronics. Mouser is stocking Ametherm's Standard, Mega, Mini, and Sensor Sample Kits. Ametherm's Standard Sample Kit consists of nine 120VAC and 240VAC inrush current limiters from the company's SL series.

The devices feature resistance values at 25°C of 10Ω, diameters from 3mm to 32mm, and steady-state current from 1.0A to 15.0A.

The Mini Sample Kit includes eight inrush current limiters from Ametherm's Mini SL series with resistance values at 25°C from 10Ω to 120Ω, diameters from 3 mm to 8 mm, and steady-state current of 1.0A and 2.0A.

For single- and three-phase input voltages up to 680VAC, the Mega Sample Kit features five inrush current limiters from Ametherm's MegaSurge series.

The devices offer diameters from 14 mm to 37 mm, up to 500 J of input energy, steady-state current to 18 A, and resistance values at 25°C of 10Ω, 30Ω, and 150Ω.

The Sensor Sample Kit of NTC sensing thermistors includes four probe assembly types: ring lug, threaded hex nut and tip, epoxy, and steel housing.

Constructed of specially formulated metal oxide ceramic materials that are extremely accurate in temperature sensing, the devices feature resistance values at 25°C from 10kΩ to 100kΩ, beta of 3,950K and 4500K, thermal time constant down to 10.0s, and maximum power of 125mW.

The kit also includes a device from Ametherm's ACCU-Curve series of interchangeable thermistors. Offering tight tolerance of ± 0.2°C and a fast thermal time constant of 7.0s, the epoxy-coated device can be potted in a variety of housings.

Ametherm products are recognised by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA International) for ensured safety, and many are RoHS-2-certified (with Exemption 7a and 7(c)-1).

The devices are optimised for a wide range of applications, including AC motors, power supplies, motor drives, audio amplifiers, battery chargers, air sensors, HVAC systems, high-speed computers, MRIs, and X-ray machines.
