Vishay has today introduced new AEC-Q101-qualified, ESD-protected 600 V standard rectifiers. For space-constrained applications, the new SE20AFJ and SE30AFJ offer high current density with forward currents of 2 A and 3 A in the surface-mount SlimSMA DO-221AC package featuring a low 0.95 mm profile.

Featuring extremely low forward voltage drops down to 0.86 V typical at 2 A, the SE20AFJ and SE30AFJ reduce power loss and improve efficiency for general-purpose power line polarity protection in consumer and automotive applications. With their ESD capability, the devices can provide class H3B (> 8 kV) performance based on the AEC-Q101-001 human body model (contact mode).

The new rectifiers feature an oxide planar chip junction, maximum operation junction temperature of + 175 °C, and an MSL moisture sensitivity level of 1, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of 260 °C. Ideal for automated placement, the devices are compliant to RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and halogen-free according to JEDEC JS709A standards.
