Richardson RFPD is offering availability and full design support capabilities for RECOM Power’s high-isolation DC-to-DC converters. Designed specifically for insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) systems, the converters' asymmetric outputs of +15V and -9V make them ideal to power IGBT drivers, replacing the need for two converters.

The devices are available with input voltages of 5VDC, 12VDC and 24VDC and offer up to 6.4kVDC/1sec isolation. The converters operate reliably at temperatures between -40 °C and +90 °C without derating, and with an efficiency of up to 85%. To meet the requirements of various IGBT applications, the devices feature a variety of pin-outs and packages (single in-line and dual in-line). They are also available with short circuit protection. All of the converters are EN60950-1 certified.

Richardson RFPD's design advisors provide extensive technical expertise and design-in assistance for RECOM products, including these new converters. The devices are in stock and available for immediate delivery.
