Chassis Mountable AC/DC Modules from PowerPax
PowerPax has announced a new range of chassis mounting AC/DC Modules. Designed to provide an easy solution for applications where the power supply needs to be chassis mounted and rugged the SFS and FS ranges provide single, dual and triple output models in output powers of 5 – 30W. This series offers power supplies with a universal AC input which can also accept DC power in the range of 110 – 340V DC. All of the products in the range have a built in EMI filter, inrush current limiting and have low no load input current.
Output voltages in the series include 3.3V, 5.0V, 12V, 15V, 24V, ±12V, ±15V, 5V ±12V and 5V ±15V and the range has protection for short circuit, over current and over temperature conditions with automatic recovery. All outputs have low noise and ripple with line regulation of ±1% typical and load regulation of ±1% typical.
These power supplies are designed to operate over a wide temperature range and feature an operating temperature specification of -10˚ to 60˚C with de-rating to 50% from 50 ˚C to 60˚C. These products are cooled by natural air convection and require no additional forced air to operate correctly.
All of the products in the range are safety approved with approvals including CE, UL, cUL and CB.
The power supplies are built using high quality SMD construction and are housed in a fully encapsulated compact case which is fitted to a moulded base with screw terminals for ease of connection. Sizes for the series vary from 72 x 31.5 x 21.4mm to 114.74 x 58.42 x 27.5mm depending on the output power of the module.
