Designed for non-life support medical applications that require EN/UL 60601-1 safety standards, the PM202 series of compact 200W AC/DC power supplies has been released by Power Sources Unlimited. Measuring 76.20x127x38.10mm, the devices deliver 200W of continuous power with 5.3CFM forced air cooling or 150W with convection cooling.

The power supplies, which have an operating efficiency of more than 87%, feature an output range of 12-48VDC and an input range of 100–240VAC, with active PFC. Operating from a temperature range of 0 to +70°C, the devices feature leakage current of less than 220μA maximum at 264VAC. The PM202 power supplies, which are offered with over-voltage and short circuit protection, have an MTBF of 300,000 hours at full load at 25°C ambient calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F. PCB constructed with a U-bracket, the devices are optionally available with cover-and-fan assembly to achieve 200W output.

The power supplies meet EN55011/55022 and FCC Class B standards and are certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1, making them suitable for a wide range of ITE applications, including data networking, computing and telecomms. The PM202 power supplies are available now, priced from $80 per unit and sold in OEM quantities.
