Delivering up to 40W of dual to triple output power, the TMP60 series of medical grade AC/DC desktop power adapters has been released by Tumbler Technologies + TRUMPower. +5/+12V output voltages are offered by the dual output model, while +3.3/+5/+12V, +5/+12/-12V, +5/+15/-15V and +5/+24/+12V output voltages are offered by the triple output models.

An 85 to 264VAC wide input and an IEC 320/C14 AC inlet mating with different types of AC power cords allow the power adapters to be used worldwide. The devices are offered with output overvoltage and overcurrent protections, along with an LED indicator. The TMP60 series of power adapters operate from 0 to +60°C and require derating at +40°C linearly and 50% at +60°C. From input to output, the withstand voltage is 4000VAC, and from input to ground it is 500VAC. At full load at 25°C ambient per MIL-HDBK-217F, the devices have a minimum MTBF of 150,000 hours.

The power adapters, which meet CEC and Energy Star level IV requirements, consume less than 0.5W in standby mode and have an average efficiency of 68-74%. At 115VAC/60Hz earth leakage current is typically 90µA, and 150µA at 230VAC/50Hz.

The TMP60 series of power adapters, which are offered with a 5-pin DIN plug as the standard output connector and an optional power switch, are enclosed in a 94V-1 rated polyphenylene-oxide case with dimensions of 2.95x5.79x1.65”. On request, other connector options are available.

The RoHS compliant devices are approved by UL, cUL and TUV to the latest EN 60601-1, UL 60601-1, CSA C22.2 No. 60601-1 medical standards and to the latest EN/UL 60950-1 and CSA C22.2 No. 60950-1 ITE standards. The TMP60 series of power adapters also meet IEC 60601-1-2 EMC standards including EN 55011/EN 55022/FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5 and EN61000-4-11.
