SynQor announces the release of its PFCQor module, a power factor correction building block for AC-DC power conversion. When the PFCQor is used with SynQor's AC line filter, a hold-up capacitor and SynQor's high efficiency DC-DC converters, it draws a nearly perfect sinusoidal current (PF>0.99) from a single phase AC input and provides a complete front-end system that complies with EN55011, EN55022, EN61000 and FCC regulations.
The PFCU390HPC delivers 700W of output power in an industry standard half-brick package (2.5 x 2.5 x 0.5 inches) while achieving a efficiency as high as 96%. The module accepts universal input voltage range of 85-264Vrms input and operates in both the 45-65Hz and 360-800Hz frequency ranges. Offered in a fully encased and ruggedized package, the PFCU390HPC can operate from -40C to +100C on its baseplate and is perfectly suited for harsh environments seen in many industrial and transportation applications that demand a low profile, extended temperature operation in a small space. The feature rich PFCU390HPC provides serial control inputs and outputs such as load enable, clock synchronization, output current monitoring and active current sharing for higher power requirements. Protection features include input under/over-voltage protection, output over-voltage protection, output current limit and thermal shutdown.

SynQor's PFCQor are available for immediate sampling and purchase.
