Excelsys Technologies has introduced the introduction of two products into its renowned user-configurable range. The X-lite commercial and X-mite medical power supplies both offer 750W continuous output power with 800 watt peak capacity. Supplied in a slim-line and ultra-compact 1U x 268 x 89mm package with up to 8 isolated outputs, these 2 new products offer new levels of flexibility and affordability to the 750W power market.
The XLD 750 powerPac model may be populated with up to 4 powerMods selected with outputs in the range 1.0V to 58.0VVDC. All possible user configurations carry full safety agency approvals UL60950, EN60950 and are CE marked.

The XMD 750 carries full safety agency approvals to EN60601-1 and UL2601-1, fully meeting the stringent medical low leakage current and creepage requirements in this compact package. The XMD 750 powerPac may also be populated with up to 4 powerMods selected from the same range as the XLD 750.

Both the XLD 750 and XMD 750 can provide up to 8 fully isolated outputs which may be connected in series or parallel to provide non standard voltages, higher output currents or N+1 redundant power systems. Reliability is enhanced by employing leading-edge design techniques employing planar magnetics and surface mount electronics resulting in low numbers of long life electrolytic capacitors in the final design.

Both units have internal cooling fans and provide a 5VDC bias voltage for system administration and front panel LEDs provide a visual indication of system status. The XLD 750 and XMD 750 have a universal 85-264VAC input range, over voltage protection and will operate at full load from -20 to +70°C

Dermott Flynn, Sales Director of Excelsys Technologies, comments. “Our new two new 750 watt power supplies offer market leading power densities in a very small package size, with the added bonus of being totally user configurable. We have a proven online “configure and order” wizard making it very simple for our customers to specify and order project specific power solutions from our website.”

Typical applications for the XLD 750 include industrial and automation systems, telecoms, instrumentation, n+1 and redundant power systems, test and measurement equipment, printing and IT power. The Medical XMD 750 may be used for radiological imaging, clinical diagnostics, medical lasers, clinical chemistry etc.
