MEAN WELL have unveiled the RSP-100 series, a 100W AC/DC low profile single output enclosed type switching power supply with PFC function, which extends their middle wattage offering. The RSP-100 series lowers its height, reduces the size by 33%, and increase the efficiency by 8% when compared to the preceding models of the SP-100 series.

Whilst the SP-100 had a working temperature of -10~+60℃, the RSP-100 series features a working temperature of -30~+70℃. Features including high efficiency, free air convection cooling, and 1U low profile (30mm), make the RSP-100 series ideal for end users who are looking for economical power supplies with energy-saving, noise free, and low profile installation features.

Equipped with PFC function and 88% high efficiency, the new series also features a 85~264V universal AC input range and provides 3.3V~48V output voltage options. Due to the PFC function and high efficiency, the RSP-100 can be cooled by free air convection from -30℃ to +45℃ or +50℃ambient temperature under full load condition, and even up to +70℃ by suitable derating. Other built-in functions include remote ON/OFF control, short circuit, overload, over voltage, and over temperature protections. All series comply with global safety regulations per UL, CUL, TUV, CCC, CB, and CE and also passed the TUV EN61558-2-16 certificates, which can fulfill the requirements of household electrical appliances. Applications include industrial automation system, mechanical and electrical equipment, household appliance (ex: vending machine, coffee machine…), or any systems that require 1U low profile installations.
