Magna-Power Electronics Rapid Charges Fastest Electric Car In The World
Magna-Power Electronics, a world leader in high-power programmable dc power supplies, delivered a 75 kW MS Series III power supply used to charge the world’s fastest electric vehicle: the Ohio State Buckeye Bullet. The vehicle, powered by rapid-charge capable prismatic A123 batteries, set the world land-speed record for an electric car, averaging 307.7 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah last month.
CharThe Buckeye Bullet 2.5 was built in collaboration with engineering teams from the Center for Automotive Research at Ohio State University, along with support from A123 Systems and Venturi Automobiles, a French company.
