Lithium batteries power marine and yachting sectors
UK battery company, DBS Leoch, has introduced new Lithium battery technology for the UK marine and yachting sectors. The new Lithium batteries will provide yacht and boat owners with 20 times the life span at a fraction of the weight of standard lead acid batteries. DBS Leoch is the UK distributor for these new Lithium batteries, manufactured by RELiON, the global battery provider.
The new RELiON Lithium batteries offer a lightweight, cost-effective energy source for yachting and marine applications.
They enable rapid recharge to reduce generator running time; thousands of cycles so in excess of 20 years life expectancy is possible; can be installed in ‘out of the way’ places and are a drop fit (up to four batteries in series or parallel) so no external Battery Management System is required.
