An LDO that delivers dual 150mA outputs with high 1% voltage accuracy from a wide 1.7 to 5.25V input voltage range has been introduced by Diodes Incorporated. Featuring a low 35μA quiescent current, low RDS(ON) and a six-pin X2 DFN1212 package, the AP7342 is particularly well-suited for compact, low-power, handheld, consumer electronic products such as smart phones, tablets, cameras and portable media players.

Additional benefits of the device include a high 75dB power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and low 60μVrms noise sensitivity (from 10Hz to 100kHz). These are key to getting the best performance from audio and video applications or communications devices with RF sub-systems, such as wireless adaptors. A wide input voltage specification ensures compatibility with lithium batteries down to 1.7V, while the output voltage, which can be fixed between 1.2 and 3.6V, is maintained to 1% accuracy at +25oC and 1.5% across the full -40 to +85ºC operating temperature.

The AP7342 is available in single-reel, 5,000-piece quantities and priced at $0.25 each.
