Artesyn Embedded Technologies has announced a 23 model family of enclosed AC/DC power supplies which provide a reliable, low cost solution for general-purpose industrial applications requiring a single low voltage DC supply. The LCB power supplies combine high efficiency, typically 89 or 90%, with a very low no-load power consumption of just 0.5W.

The LCB family is offered in four series with nominal power output ratings of 35, 50, 100 and 150W. The LCB35, LCB50 and LCB100 series each comprises six single-output models, offering voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24 and 48V, while the LCB150 series comprises five single-output models, offering voltages of 5, 12, 15, 24 and 48V. LCB35, LCB50 and LCB100 series units accept a universal 88-264VAC input and are also capable of operating from a 125-373VDC input, while the each LCB150 model accepts an 88-132 or 176-264VAC input and is also capable of operating from a 248-373VDC input.

Designed for normal convection cooling, all LCB family power supplies accommodate an ambient operating temperature range from -25 to +70°C, with linear derating above 50°C. LCB family power supplies are housed in a compact, robust and low profile fully ventilated metal enclosure. All connections are made via semi-shrouded screw terminals and an LED ‘Power On’ indicator is provided. An externally accessible trim pot allows the output voltage to be adjusted by ±10%.

The power supplies are comprehensively protected against output overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuit conditions. They carry UL/TUV 60950-1 safety approvals and have a very high calculated MTBF ranging from 200,000 to 460,000 hours, making them ideal ‘fit and forget’ power solutions for long lifetime applications.
