The launch of a new range of fuel cell module products designed specifically for portable and stationary power applications has been announced by Intelligent Energy. The zero emission FCM-800 series utilises Intelligent Energy’s class leading air cooled PEM fuel cell technology which has been developed over the last 30 years.

Three products sit within the new range; the FCM-801, FCM-802 and FCM-804 and are capable of delivering a range of power outputs from 1kW-4kW. The range is also optimised for hybridisation with batteries enabling further efficiencies. In addition, the whole range benefits from minimal service requirements. These products are available internationally and orders are now being taken.

Alistair Ball, Director of Product Delivery at Intelligent Energy, added: “The team has worked hard to deliver this new range and it is an exciting time for the company as we expand our product portfolio. Importantly, the FCM-800 series is economically competitive and we are confident that our new product range will be well received.”

Last year Intelligent Energy announced a new strategy, setting out plans to commercialise its technology. This launch demonstrates the continued commitment to deliver on this.

Martin Bloom, Group CEO at Intelligent Energy, said: “It has been a positive first year for product-led commercial development for the Company. Since my arrival, we have outlined a new strategy to maximise commercial opportunities and build the business. We have been able to commercialise our world leading technology developed over a 30-year period. I am delighted to see this transitioning into a world class product range and the FCM-800 series is an important tool for our commercial team who will now be able to address clear market demand for this type of application."
