PoL, non-isolated DC/DC converters with PMBus communication are available from TDK-Lambda. Digital control enables the converters to provide an improved dynamic transient response, says the company. It is also claimed to provide an improved dynamic transient response and system stability, along with enhanced flexibility and the ability for customisation.

Capable of accepting an 8.0 to 14V DC input, the iJA series can deliver output voltages of 0.6 to 3.3V with currents of up to 35A.  Measuring 22.9 x 12.7 x 9.7mm and weighing just 6.5g, the compact converters can be used in communications, broadcast, industrial and test and measurement equipment.

Read-write functionality of the PMBus allows precision, real-time monitoring of the output voltage, current and temperature, says the company. Operating parameters can also be programmed using the company’s GUI. The converters can be used without the PMBus communication, using function pins.

Safety certification includes IEC/EN 60950-1, UL/CSA 60950-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives.
