DC power adapter targets mobile medical devices

Designed to power left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), infusion pumps, respirators, defibrillators and other mobile medical devices, Astrodyne has announced a 75W medical grade power adapter which can be used with a car or truck 12 CAP DC power connector. This medical grade DC input power adapter provides superior isolated power to medical devices used in cars and trauma patient transportation vehicles.

Featuring ultra-low leakage of less than 10µA, the medical power adapter offers superior protection against shock and hazard for the patient. Operating over a temperature range from -20 to +70°C, Astrodyne’s medical car adapter provides 3,000VAC dielectric isolation, 75W maximum output power and CF level leakage current isolation for maximum patient safety.

The DC power adapter has ingress protection evaluated to IP21 per IEC60529 and overall safety compliance evaluated to ES60601-3 3rd edition and IEC 60601-1-11. The unit measures 4.75x3.00x1.9", comes with a standard 11m long 18AWG auto plug.

Custom cord lengths of 3-15" are available, as are a variety of output connectors.
