The configurable RCB Series of power supplies from ROAL is now available from Luso Electronics. The 600W and 1200W modules are the smallest configurable power supplies in the market. Their ultra-compact size means they readily fit into a wide range of space-constrained applications such as industrial, telecom, test and measurement and medical environments.

There is a wide selection of output choices to give designers the advantage of a custom power solution without the long lead times and non-recurring engineering (NRE) costs associated with custom designs.

Each unit consists of a main input chassis with up to four isolated output modules (eight in the RCB1200) in any combination of 5V, 12V, 24V, 48V or a dual output +/- 12v module.

Configuration is possible without separating any chassis parts. The only removable components are the output modules and the screws.

The modules are also adjustable, either by use of the potentiometer or remote sense function; this enables the RCB600 to output any voltage between 1.5V and 232V if the modules are operated in parallel.

Standard features include universal input voltages and Active Power Factor Correction. System level integration features include current share, 5V bias supply, remote voltage and current programming, start-up voltage sequencing and N+1 redundancy.

The series carries UL60950 and EN60950 safety approvals and complies with EN61000-3, EN61000-4 and EN55022 Class B EMC standards. A MCB600 medical power supply option with safety approvals to IEC601 standards is also available.
